Brgy. Ginebra’s resident import Justin Brownlee attended Gilas Pilipinas practice, Monday night at the Meralco Gym in Pasig City.
The national team, currently handled by Gin Kings coach Tim Cone, is preparing for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games which will be held in the country from November 30 to December 11.
All 15 members of the training pool, with the exception of Jayson Castro and Matthew Wright, were present during the regular Monday evening session.
Castro recently sustained a soleus muscle strain (calf injury) during TNT’s game against NLEX and was already ruled out of the Final 12 by Cone owing to the amount of time required for the injury to fully heal.
Aside from Brownlee, former Alaska head coach Alex Compton was also in attendance although it wasn’t clear at the moment what his role will be for the team.
