Due to the rising confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, the PBA has decided to suspend the upcoming games in the 2020 Philippine Cup indefinitely.
And among the matches which will be rescheduled to a later date is the season debut of Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel.
The crowd darlings are supposed to take on the Blackwater Elite on Saturday, March 14 at the Bataan People’s Center in Balanga, Bataan.
“Yung game na rin sa Bataan sa Saturday, cancelled muna,” said PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial during a press conference on Wednesday.
“Ire-reset namin,” he added.
The amiable league executive urged ticket holders for the said game to keep it as it can be used once the new date for the shelved match has been finalized.
“Yun pa rin yung ticket nila. Huwag nila i-wala kasi kung ano yung ticket na na-purchase nila, yun din ang gagamitin kung kailan kami magse-set. Itago lang nila tickets,” said Marcial.
